He passed away in his sleep March 14th, 2011, he will be

DID YOU
KNOW?
** Baseball legend Babe Ruth led
the American League in
home runs 12 times.
** America's first minimum wage was 25 cents an hour back
in 1938.
** Supercells are similar to other thunderstorms, except
they're bigger, stronger, and meaner. While a strong
thunderstorm, associated with a passing cold front, may
produce a tornado, supercells can produce several tornadoes.
One of the things that separates supercells from the "ordinary"
thunderstorms is that violent updrafts and downdrafts reinforce
each other, which allows a supercell to be sustained for an
hour or more.
** Old Polish legends have attached the egg to Easter
celebrations. One legend concerning the Virgin Mary told of
when she gave eggs to the soldiers at the cross of Jesus.
She entreated them to be less cruel as she wept. The tears
of Mary fell upon the eggs, spotting them with dots of
brilliant color.
** The Sears Tower in Chicago, Illinois reaches 1,707ft
(including the antennas) into the sky. It weighs more than 2
22,500 tons and is covered by more than 28 acres of black
aluminum.
** The phrase "a red letter day" dates back to 1704, when
holy days were marked in red letters in church calendars.
** The caterpillar of the monarch butterfly will eventually
multiply its original weight by 2,700 times. If a 7-pound
newborn human gained weight at the same rate, as an adult,
it would weigh well over 9 tons.
** In 4400 BC, the first horses were domesticated in Eastern
Europe. This was the first time horses were used for riding.

OLLIE'S
SILLIES
A couple was touring the capitol
in Washington, DC, and
the guide pointed out a tall, benevolent gentleman as
the congressional chaplain.
The lady asked, "What does the chaplain do? Does he pray
for the Senate or House?"
The guide answered, "No, he gets up, looks at both houses
of Congress, then prays for the country!"
